Who We Are
We are an ambition amount of young activists who want to create a change. With a mixture of lived experience and knowledge, we are creating a safe space for people with disabilities to celebrate themselves, laugh with others, and support disabled people’s businesses. Our team is filled with disabled volunteers.

Isabella Choate

Isabella is an award-winning Living Experience advocate and Founder of Disability Pride Festival. They co-host a podcast, "Unapologetically Disabled" and are Interim CEO of the Youth Disability Advocacy Network.
Anneka Bodt
they/them
Anneka is a experienced, disability, youth and queer advocate with a passion for inclusive nightlife. Anneka Currently works at the Youth Disability Advocacy Network and co-hosts the "Unapologetically Disabled" podcast.
Crystal Nguyen
she/her
Crystal Nguyen is a performing artist, disability advocate and rice noodles enthusiast, currently learning and playing on Whadjuk country. In her free time, you can find Crystal at the swimming pool or laughing hard in the foyers of theatre venues.
Jack Meakins
he/it
Jack is passionate about the intersection of disability, fatness, queer identity and youth. It been working and volunteering in that space for more than ten years. Jack is excited to be a part of the team on DPF 2024!
Kaygan Barnard
she/they
Kaygan Barnard is a queer, autistic, and disabled artist, and works as an equity practitioner at Edith Cowan University. Kay also works as a freelance illustrator and has collaborated on projects with Women with Disabilities Australia, the Youth Affairs Council of WA, and the Youth Disability Advocacy Network.
Nikki Vera

Nikki is a multiply-disabled AuDHD brand at web designer at Studio Nyx, who's passionate about accessible design and supporting marginalised-owned businesses.
Rhiannon De Cinque
she/her
Rhiannon is a disabled neurodivergent advocate, leading campaigns through lived experience, and funnelling her creativity into community and communications.
Sophie Aylmore
she/her
Sophie is a chronically ill/disabled fool trying to live, laugh, love between extreme pain and fatigue [tone indicator: light hearted].
She loves to advocate for her community and build spaces for disabled and chronically ill people to come together!
